Moment At The Mountain
Your Spiritual Journey Itinerary
Day 1. You arrive at the San Jose airport (Airport Code is SJO). Flight arrangements must be made on your own. Scott Bowers , founder of Moment on the Mountain will be there to greet you and transport you to your hotel.
Once the entire group has arrived we will take time to introduce the program to the group as well as the group members to each other. We will have dinner together that evening at a great local restaurant.
You will share a room with one of your group mates. Moment of the Mountain staff makes all room paring decisions.
Day 2. We will have breakfast early as a group and then bible study and group discussion. Afterwards we are off to our first adventure. This will be an amazing rappel down the Cataratas del Toro waterfall. This 400-foot rappel and the amazing sites and sounds of this spectacular fall will surely bring you closer to your Creator. We will have lunch together and return to the hotel in San Jose. We will also have dinner together later that evening.
Day 3. Again we will rise early for breakfast and then take our transfer to the rafting “put in” for our amazing day of white water rafting on the Rio Pacuare. We will have lunch together on the river. We return to San Jose that evening where we will engage in further bible study and discussion and later, dinner together.
Day 4. We will travel together to the beautiful area known as Perez Zeledon. There we will check in to the hotel and get plenty of rest to be prepared for the ascent of Cerro Chirripo, which will begin early the next morning.
Day 5. On this day we will begin our ascent of Cerro Chirripo. We will hike some eight hours to the Base Camp (Base Crestones), where we will camp for the night. Be prepared for a cold night, but also for a chance to reconnect with the Creator and Sustainer of all the incredible beauty you have witnessed.
Day 6. On this day we will reach the summit of Chirripo, which will surely be a moment of lasting victory! We will spend the day hiking in the area and then return back to Base Crestones for another night, before making the arduous 7-hour descent the next day.
Day 7. We will return to San Jose. We will enjoy our last dinner together with a time of fellowship and, sadly, goodbyes, but with the encouragement that comes from friendships forged during this incredible spiritual journey.
Day 8. You will be transported to the airport to catch your flight home.

*Meals are not included in price (except breakfast at the hotel in San Jose, Pacuare rafting tour, which includes breakfast and lunch and Cataratas del Toro Rappelling Tour, which includes lunch).
**Entrance to Chirripo National Park (including 2 nights at Base Crestones) is not included.
***All accommodations (except Base Crestones), transportation to each location in itinerary and tours (except entrance to Chirripo National Park) are included.

- Clothing for cold mountain and wet tropical weather
